Prof Kristian Helmerson’s laboratory contains an apparatus designed to use both potassium-41 and rubidium-87.We are currently setting up experiments to study quantum turbulence in 2D systems. We are also interested in studying the role of disorder in superfluid systems, as well as systems with reduced dimensionality. Other projects in the lab include the use of photopolymer film to create custom diffractive optical elements.
